Types of Fencing
One of the great things about fencing is that it can be constructed from a range of different materials. Which material you choose, depends on a number of factors such as budget, weather in your area and what your fencing is trying to accomplish. Traditionally, fencing is made from one of four different options: wood, metal, vinyl and chain link. Each type of fencing has benefits and, which you choose, is completely up to you. No matter which kind of fencing you’d like installed, we can assure you that we can take care of all of your fencing needs.
Wood fencing is the most traditional type of fencing there is. Wood fencing has been used for hundreds of years, usually to separate land ownership and to either keep animals inside a property or outside of one. Wood, however, is still used today, because it works. We usually use wooden fences at residential properties to mark out property lines and to install privacy fencing. Wood fencing is a great option because it is very cost effective, easy to work with and does a great job of standing up to most weather conditions.
Another great choice of material for fencing is vinyl. Vinyl fencing can be used at either residential or commercial properties and is best used for its extreme durability. Because vinyl is a non-porous material, it withstands all manner of outside forces, including heavy rain, ice and dust. Vinyl is cost effective, easy to install and can work in everything from property fencing, to privacy fencing to pool fencing. Vinyl fencing is easy to take care of and clean and can generally be wiped down or hosed off when need be. If you are in the market for vinyl fencing, let us know.
Metal fencing is the most expensive type of fencing types, but it definitely has its benefits. Metal fencing is extremely durable and, with proper care, will last for years in the future. Where wooden fencing and vinyl fencing may need to be patch or mended over time, metal fencing usually will not need to be. Metal fencing withstands nearly all weather conditions and its sturdy enough to hold out any unwanted guests. Another benefits of a metal fence is that metal can be worked in decorative shapes, giving your fencing a unit look that helps to beautify your property.
Chain link fence is a cheaper option to a solid metal fence, but is a really great choice for both residential and commercial properties. Chain link is rather cost effective (considering that it’s a metal fence) and is easy to install. Usually chain link fencing comes a in rolls that are unwound and fastened in to place between two, metal poles that are secured in to the ground. Chain link is great at keeping out pests and unwanted guests and does a fine job of holding up in inclement weather. Chain link can also be used for pool fencing.
